The Invisible War

Last night was the second of our four part ‘The Invisible War’ Series – teaching to give us insight on the tactics of the devil and how we can live a victorious life. We ate, fellowshipped, and learned a lot through the Word of God. We’ll be meeting each Wednesday at 7:30. If you’re interested in coming along or finding out more info, email us: info@thehillsgospel.com.

The New Chapter Begins

Hi everyone. Well, after months of praying and searching, we got the keys for a space on February 20th to start our new church. And we’re really excited about it. The location is 2726 Atlantic Avenue (Block from Maxwell’s Bakery), one of the busier streets in Brooklyn. Thank you all for your prayers as we embark on what is truly an exciting journey. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without them. I will announce the first service soon.
God Bless. Look Higher.

SPREAD LOVE THE BROOKLYN WAY
The Lord has led me back to my roots in Brooklyn to launch a ministry. Some folks expressed concern, since my family and I live on Long Island; but Brooklyn is where my heart burns. Even as this vision becomes more crystallized in my mind, there were a lot of sobering questions presented to me. There are already so many churches in Brooklyn that already are laboring to fulfill the same mission. Is there a need to start another church in the same city? Within a mile geographic diameter of most blocks in Brooklyn, there are dozens of Bible-preaching churches already in existence. Each of these churches is committed to the same task given to us by Christ. So, is there room for one more? Maybe an even more important question is this; is there a NEED for one more? On one hand, this is a legit question. On the other hand, I pass so many people who don’t go to church. So is there a need for one more church? Each church carries a particular quality. So even though I firmly believe that salvation is by the sovereign grace of God, I also believe that He uses different personalities to reach different people. So if God is calling me to start a ministry in Brooklyn, He has divinely designed it to draw others in this community. So even with one church on one corner, and another church on another corner, if He is leading me to start one on the next corner, I believe He will use us to reach a different group of people. And if we all understand we are not in competition with one another, but all part of the same body of Christ to advance His kingdom, then as we each labor, we understand God gets the glory. God Bless.
